• monitoring the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education";


• make proposals for the improvement of legislation in the field of secondary special and professional education;


• develops together with the concerned ministries, state committees and departments science-based forecasts of development and improvement of secondary special and professional education;


• Together with the concerned ministries and departments carry out an inventory and critical study of the list of training courses, professions and specialties for each professional college in view of their relevance in the sectors of the economy;


• draft and submit proposals to further unify areas of education and qualifications eliminate narrow profile of training, re-profiling of professional colleges, taking into account the real needs in the frames.

• implementation of a unified state policy in the field of secondary special and professional education aimed at preparing young people with a wide range of in-depth knowledge, has mastered a specific profession, a wide range of specializations and skills in today's market conditions;


• Implementation of measures to achieve the targets and priorities for continuing education in the field of secondary special and professional education;


• coordination of secondary specialized educational institutions, aimed at radically improving the quality of training in demand in sectors of the economy specialties forward proposals to further unify the areas of education and the professions, reshaping professional colleges under real staffing needs in the regions;


• implementation jointly with the national education system of vocational guidance and full coverage of 9th grade schools further education in professional colleges and academic lyceums and drawing up a plan of admission to secondary special and vocational schools for the new school year;


• Implementation of the system of work to improve the state educational standards, curricula and programs aimed at improving the quality of vocational education and training.
