• organizes the development and implementation of the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan measures for prevention and liquidation of emergency situations;


• supervises the functioning of the state system of prevention and emergency response;

• Development and implementation of the state policy in the field of disaster prevention, the protection of life and health of the population, material and cultural values, as well as the recovery and reduce the damage in case of emergencies in peacetime and wartime;


• establishment and management of the state prevention and emergency response;


• Management of Civil Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan;


• organization of the development and implementation of the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan measures to protect the population of the country, facilities are a national treasure of the Republic, as well as the prevention and elimination of emergency situations;


• Coordinate the activities of ministries, agencies, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan,, regions, cities and districts to protect the population and the national heritage, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations caused by accidents, catastrophes and disasters as well as on the sustainability of particular importance, categorized, and other objects in the area of the terrorists, the elimination of the consequences of terrorist acts;


• guide the work on the Elimination of major emergencies, development and preparedness of forces and means necessary for this purpose;
