- develop basic strategic directions of development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Participates in the development of draft legal acts on tourism development;
- performs the functions of a working body for licensing of tourist activities;
- conducts certification of tourist services in accordance with the Law "On Tourism";
- develop proposals to improve the statistical reporting system in the field of tourism;
- organizes the marketing research in the field of tourism;
- conducts analytical work and identifies key trends and forecasts of development of tourism in the country;
- Prepares proposals and organizes the coordination of the implementation of targeted, sectoral and regional programs for the development of tourism;
- operates on advertising and information support of the tourist services;
- cooperates with national tourism administrations of foreign countries and their representative in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- provides an interface to the World Tourism Organization (WTO) and other international organizations related to tourism, which is in the interests of the country;
- Participate in efforts to attract investment in the development of the tourist industry;
- develops investment projects in the field of development of tourist infrastructure;
- analyzes of compliance in the foreign market and the interests of the Republic of Uzbekistan is preparing a proposal based on it to eliminate the negative phenomena in the field of tourism;
- implementing international programs for training for the tourism sector.
