• carries out state control over the quality, safety, rational use of grain and products of its processing, maintenance of good order of their placement, handling, processing, sale, correctness of their quantitative and qualitative accounting validity of application of the rules of natural wastage during storage at the enterprises using state resources grain and its products;


• In case of dispute arising between businesses in the country, as well as within its competence in export-import operations, perform tests on the quality of grain and products of its processing and issue findings, mandatory for individuals and legal entities. • Participates on the instructions of the Cabinet of Ministers in preparing food balances and submit proposals for quality prospective to purchase grain, including imports, as well as its export;


• hears heads of enterprises and organizations engaged in the storage and processing of grain of public resources on quality, safety and its rational use;


• Develops, maintains and coordinates the established procedure of normative and technical documents concerning quality, safety, management, accounting, implementation of processes related to the use of grain and its products, including the definition of the rules of natural attrition during transport and storage;

• Control over the rational use for the intended purpose, providing high-quality safety and reduction of losses of public resources grain and products of its processing on the grain, and grain-grain processing enterprises;


• Maintaining control over observance of the requirements of technical standards and specifications for grain and its products, as well as methods for testing their quality when receiving, storing, processing, and export-import operations;


• Develop proposals for the formation of public policies on improving the quality of grain and products of its processing;


• To provide guidance and practical assistance to grain producers and enterprises for the storage and processing of grain on the implementation of technical standards, technology, harvesting, cleaning, drying, acceptance, storage and processing of grain.
