- in the field of practical implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On technical regulation", "On Standardization," "On Metrology", "Certification of Products and Services" and other laws and regulations in the field of standardization, metrology, certification contributes to the Cabinet Ministers generalized suggestions on the draft program of technical regulations, introduced by the authorized state bodies in the field of technical regulations and state and economic management;
- in the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of standardization, metrology, certification, accreditation, implementation of quality management systems, improve the quality and competitiveness of products based on the application of international standards within its jurisdiction directs and coordinates the activities of the state and economic management of standardization, metrology , certification, accreditation and implementation of quality management;
- In terms of the functioning and development of standardization, metrology, accreditation, certification, and dissemination of scientific and technical information in these areas, as well as their harmonization with international, interstate and national systems of foreign countries will organize the work on certification of products manufactured in the country and coming through imports, the recognition of the results of the certification of foreign countries;
- In terms of the organization of work on the training and development of staff carries out training of scientific and technical personnel in the field of standardization, metrology and certification;
- in the field of consumer rights on compliance with the safety and quality of products, services and protection against the adverse effects of incorrect measurements shall within the limits of their competence mandatory requirements for safety and quality of products and monitors compliance with these requirements.
