Documents required to get the service

• The scanned version of application (download) of the completed and signed by persons wishing to marry (official in uzbek language).


• The scanned all the pages of the passport confirming personal data, as well as registration of residence (or other identification document - a military ID, identity card officer or warrant officer).


• The scanned version of persons re-entering into the marriage - certificate or a court decision (for court decisions entered into legal force from 01.09.1998 till 15.09.2010) on the dissolution of marriage, death certificate of spouse (wife) or the court's decision annulment of marriage, as well as birth certificates of children available.

Legal basis for service provision

• Family Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


• Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of the necessary regulations for the implementation of the Family Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated 12.04.1999 of №171.


• Order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On approval of the instruction on the procedure of record keeping in the bodies of civil registration" dated 31.12.2003 of №400.

Cost and method of payment for the service

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About rates of the state taxes" dated 03.11.1994 of №533, the state tax for registration of marriage makes 20 percent of the minimum wage established in the republic.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the statement of forms of stamp certificates and the size of the stamp duty for their delivery" dated 25.04.2012 of №119, the stamp duty for issue of the stamp certificate on a marriage makes 15 percent of the minimum wage established in the republic.

According to the Provision on the paid services rendered to natural persons by departments of the CR, the Minister of Justice approved by the order dated 15.03.2012 of №29 mind, holding a festive event with departure into place in connection with a marriage (without transportation costs) makes 100 percent of the minimum wage established in the republic.

Period of dealing with an application

Department of the CR of Sergeli district within one month from the date of receipt of the application, considering the documents provided by the proposal to permit the registration of marriage. Under special circumstances (pregnancy, childbirth, illness on the one hand, and others) Marriage shall be entered into on the day of submission of the application. Head of department of the CR of Sergeli district for good cause and at the request of the applicants may reduce the period of one month.

Extension of registration of marriage is considered by the joint statement of the intending spouses. In some cases, when there are sufficient grounds, as well as the initiative of the department of the CR of Sergeli district, this period may be extended up to three months.

Methods for obtaining results

Registration of marriage in the department of the CR of Sergeli district is done with the personal presence of the persons entering into a marriage, after a month of receipt of the application, which electronically notifies the applicant through a single portal.

The answer is forwarded to the user's personal account on the Single portal and/or emailed to the user's email address specified during registration on the Single portal.

Result of the service

Acceptance an application for registration of marriage and referral for medical examination of persons wishing to marry.

Reasons for refusal

• If there is no residence permit in the territory of the Sergeli district at both applicants.


• If applicants didn't reach the age of consent established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the age of consent is established for men from 18 years, for women from 17 years (in the presence of good reasons, in exceptional cases hoky the area in a place of the state registration of a marriage can at the request of the persons wishing to marry, reduce age of consent, but no more than for one year).


• If one of applicants is married.


• If the persons wishing to marry consist in relationship on the straight line which is descending or the ascending line.


• If one of applicants is recognized by court incapacitated owing to a mental disorder (a sincere illness or weak-mindedness).

Order of appeal

The applicant has the right to appeal the quality of the service and action (inaction) of the official institution in the order established by law.
